BORE / IDENTIFICATION: Measured 3.49 in. A 74ci Shovelhead starts at 3.4375 in; a nominal +.050 bore is about 3.4875 in. This measurement is therefore consistent with approximately +.050 oversize.
FITMENT NOTES: The measurement is consistent with a 74ci cylinder at approximately .050 over standard. Because 3.49 inches is also close to the nominal 80ci Shovelhead bore, use the casting, cylinder dimensions, base spigot, and professional bore measurements to confirm the final engine combination.
