Factory Sample FXD Stock Shape 5.1 Gallon Gas Tank Raw

Raw replacement gas tank has a right side bung and a left side fuel gauge opening. The tank is for EFI models and has a fuel capacity of 5.1 gallons.

Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. The fuel line fitting should be masked or plugged for easy installation of the fuel line. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Factory sample is a brand new production part but may have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects such as cracks or holes there will be cosmetic imperfections only. May have dings dents bent tabs and/or surface rust. Fuel tubes will need prep-work before paint. Sample parts may show marks from installation test and fitment. *NOTE: UPS may consider this part as packaged packaged inchoversize inch for shipment as compared to the actual weight which will result in higher shipping costs.
