XL solo seat features direct mounting to frames by mounting directly to the frame and fender without springs.

Mount plate fits directly to the frame as a solid mount. *NOTE: Uses 2 pieces of a frame rubber bumper for support on 1982-2003 XL solo seat installations. *NOTE: inchDo-It-Yourself inch - Base may accept springs by drilling holes and adding (2) 4 inch short springs and fastening to the frame. *NOTE: On 2007-2009 models the electrical box will have to be relocated.
