Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of petcock. Carefully check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. Features vent tube from cap to tank bottom as stock. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean  condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Order caps separately. Factory are brand new pre-production parts but have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects  such as cracks or holes  there will be cosmetic imperfections only.
